Hampshire County Council collects information about you in order to manage your Induction as a newly qualified teacher. The legal basis for processing your personal data is to fulfil our legal obligations as an Appropriate Body for statutory Induction.

We are required to share certain elements of your personal information with the Teaching Regulation Agency, to update them of any relevant changes to your Induction status.

We are also required to share certain elements of your personal information with other Appropriate Bodies should you move to a school using a different Appropriate Body to continue your Induction period.

We may share certain elements of your personal information with other teams within Hampshire County Council (Hampshire Teaching & Leadership College and Hampshire Inspection & Advisory Service) in regards to training provision and quality assurance measures within your school.

We may also share your name and school with Professional Associations so that they may contact you in writing at your school to provide details of the services and support they can offer.

We may also use your personal data to contact you should we have a query regarding your Induction.

We will retain your details on this system in line with the timescales outlined in the DfE Statutory Guidance on Induction for ECTs.
